“Arbor Vida Plumbing,” came the voice from the porch. “You called about a problem with your pipes?”
Aerith dusted her hands off on her apron and peered around the door cautiously. A young woman home alone couldn't be careful enough and life with Sephiroth had a way of making a body paranoid. The young man on the porch seemed harmless enough.
“Oh,” she said through the screen door. “I thought they'd send somebody... uh...”
“Older?” The man smiled and tipped his cap. “I get that a lot. Don't worry, I know what I'm doing.” He hefted his toolbox and gave her a bright smile.
“Come on in,” Aerith said, unlatching the screen door. “Kitchen's straight down the hall and to your right.” She couldn't help glancing back as she latched up the locks again. Her plumber boy looked like a leggy one but like many kids his age, favored the pants-falling-off-the-hip look. Aerith sighed.
She trailed after him, watching his easy lope. He whistled loudly when he got to the scene of the crime. “Looks like some clog. Do you have a bucket? This could get messy.”
“Just a second.” Aerith rummaged through the storage closet, listening to the plumber set up shop behind her. “I didn't get your name,” she said, turning with a bright blue bucket in hand.
“It's Jody, ma'am.” The plumber picked out a wrench and smiled.
Jody. Just perfect. Aerith passed the bucket over and stifled a wild laugh. Jody turned slightly in place where he had crouched on the floor. Aerith couldn't hold her gasp in then. All the usual talk about plumber's cleavage surely didn't apply when the plumber in question was young and cute and apparently very well-toned under his baggy pants.
Aerith shook her head sternly at herself. She was a married woman and had no business thinking those thoughts, never mind that Sephiroth was away so often with work. She sighed again. It wasn't easy being a military wife, especially since Seph hadn't wanted neighbors. Sephiroth's frequent lengthy trips left her essentially all alone in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do but keep house until he got back. No one could blame her for feeling a little... lonely.
“Shouldn't take too long now that I've got a look at it, ma'am,” Jody said, flipping his ponytail out of the way. His eyes had such a brilliant sparkle and he'd almost managed not to be too obvious about looking her up and down. Aerith hoped she wasn't blushing.
She cleared her throat. “Can I offer you anything, Jody? Lemonade, maybe? It's a hot day and you've come a long way out.”
Jody looked her over again, very quickly. “That'd be wonderful, ma'am. Just give me a second to get this taken care of.” He made one good turn and the sink was gurgling itself towards empty. Aerith clapped her hands in glee.
“Finally!” She stopped herself from acting too giddy. Jody had the decency to to hide his grin. “Oh, the lemonade.” She got the jug from the fridge and poured him a tall glass, adding a lemon wedge to the edge for effect. Jody dutifully washed up in the sink and dried his hands on a paper towel before accepting it.
“Thank you kindly, ma'am.” Jody was all blue-collar diligence and good homestyle training.
“You're welcome.” Aerith tried not to stare at him, at the way his throat moved as he swallowed. She'd been alone too long. “It's just good to finally have somebody else out here.”
Jody set his half-finished glass down on the kitchen island. “You're out here alone?”
Aerith nodded. “My husband's in the military. He's gone a lot.”
“Hmm,” Jody turned his glass slowly in place, watching the water bead on the surface. “Must get awful lonely out here by yourself.”
“That's life,” Aerith said, admiring his hands. She hoped her voice hadn't sounded too breathy to him.
“I've been thinking of enlisting myself,” Jody said brightly, “but you can bet if I had a lady as pretty as you, I wouldn't be leaving her all alone.”
“I know you wouldn't,” Aerith answered, glancing up. Their eyes met accidentally and there was no going back.
Jody was young, clumsy and excitable, but he knew how to whip a girl's underwear off in less than two seconds. Aerith gasped when her back hit the kitchen table. It was going to be rough and quick and dirty, her skirt hitched up around her hips, her young plumber boy not even bothering with her apron. “You like it like this, ma'am?” Jody asked.
Aerith wrapped her legs around him and raked his bangs back. “YES!”
-.-.-.-.-.-
Aerith stared up at the ceiling, feeling the cool tile on her skin. She still had her apron on, but nothing else. Jody lay stretched out beside her, silent and waiting. Poor thing probably still needed time to process.
Aerith stretched and rolled onto her side, admiring the flush in his cheeks and the way sweat had darkened the hair at his temples. “So, you like that, Jody?”
'Jody' exhaled heavily and smirked. “I think I could get used to this roleplay thing.”
