We get our share of wildlife passing through the yard but this is definitely one of the cutest!
The dogs were trying to nab it but it put up a good talon fight and came out beak-clicking in warning but unharmed. I got there in time to shoo the pups off and we parked the little guy in the front yard so his parents could come pick him up. There's no sign of him now, so I hope he's safe.
ETA: I took a good look around when I went out this morning, and there was an owl up in the neighbor's tree. It did the owly headbob at me as if to say, "Yeah, we got the kid back, JSYK," and flew away. XD
