Author's notes
Feb. 10th, 2019 11:08 pmAeris excels at Mathematics, there always was number juggling to make ends meet below the plate, but she's hit or miss with History. It's not that she doesn't know History, quite the opposite. She knows too much. She knows what really happened, and all the little bits that get left out of the books written by the victors. Dead Cetra still talk and they have a lot to say for the one who can listen. So she knows what happens and has a hard time not stabbing the little ovals on the test paper while she shades, trying to bite down the outrage and give the 'right' answer. She'll have to fix this crap one day.
Sephiroth will never have quite her touch with math, never much enjoyed playing around with the gruesome numbers of war. He discovers a gift for literature instead. Once he's watched an online class or two and got the hang of it, it's really just the same thing he's been trying to do all his life. See past the surface and figure out what people really mean. Metaphor and symbolism, it's just the euphemism and double entendre of the written word. And he always did love a good yarn, before Dr. Gast died and stories went away. He won't let them get away again.
They both ace standardized science and try not to think too much about it.
