Sephiroth shrugged and focused his gaze on his daughter. She stared right back at him, as always, eyes seeking him out the way her infant mind did whenever she was awake. “We made a beautiful baby, Aer. I know every parent probably says this, but she really is the prettiest baby ever.”
“Of course you’d say that,” Aeris muttered from her pillows. “She looks just like you.”
“Then you know I’m being honest.”
“And vain.” Aeris kicked him through the sheets.
