It wasn't the first time they'd done this together. They moved too smoothly, too closely to be new. Fair was on his knees working his pretty friend's belt, slowly, kissing each inch of bare hip as the fabric slid down. The young one stood with his back to the wall, hands braced on the pipes and his face tilted into the cold light. He was stark white stillness. Fair moved like a dark shadow across his friend's skin.
The boy gasped. Maybe he cried out. They were too far away for even a SOLDIER to hear, but it was no less beautiful for the silence. Fair's head moved in a heartbeat rhythm and the blond one shivered above him. It did not take very long. Lips parted, eyes closed, head thrown back with a force that must have been painful. The blond one went limp and would have fallen but for Fair.
They stood there awhile in the half-light, the blond with his head on Fair's shoulder like a babe. They swayed together in the shadows till Fair could wait no more. The little blond nodded and Fair's hands moved. His fingers were out of sight but it was easy to tell where, their every motion registered on the face of a fine-boned young man.
Where did you find this one, Zack? He's even prettier than you were at that age, so delicate and fine. Do you like being the stronger one, Zack? The one in control?
Fair pressed his friend against the wall again, lifting slender legs around his hips so he could settle between them. The blond's breath was hitching now. It must have been a beautiful pain, sharp and brief.
Where did you first do this to him, Zack? When? Were you careful with him? Did he cry?
Small hands fisted the back of Fair's shirt. Reddened lips moved near Fair's ear. “Zack, Zack,” they clearly said, even if the sound would not carry.
Does he always call your name, Zack? Do you like that? You did it yourself when it was you up against the wall. Did you always want that, someone to say your name?
The young one's face contorted as his legs splayed. Tears glistened on his face as Zack kept moving, faster now, then finally shuddering to a rigid stop. He kept his face out of sight, pressed into the side of his friend's neck.
Do you like being the one deep inside, Zack? Is he good for you? He must be. You're glowing, you both are.
Fair dressed his friend slowly, with many gentle kisses.
You're beautiful together, Zack.
Fair opened the door to the stairwell and led the tired little one down into the warmer glow below without a backwards glance. Their audience remained unseen on his window ledge, staring at their rooftop corner long after they were gone.
